Persona 5 Royal DLC: Included Content and PS4 Bundles
See which Persona 5 Royal DLC is included on each platform, distinguish PS4 running on PS5 from the PS5 edition, and avoid duplicate downloads.
Persona 5 Royal on native PS5, Switch, Steam and Xbox/Windows includes more than 40 previously released DLC items. For the PS4 edition, check the separate Legacy DLC Bundle and Royal DLC Bundle. Playing the PS4 edition on a PS5 still means checking the PS4 bundles.
Which versions of Persona 5 Royal include DLC?
The 2022 releases bundle previously released add-ons with the game. That is different from the way Royal’s PS4 add-ons are organized on PlayStation Store.
| Version | DLC arrangement | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| PS4 | Legacy and Royal DLC bundles have separate store listings | Which bundles your account owns and has installed |
| Native PS5 release | More than 40 previously released DLC items included | That you are looking at the PS5 game listing |
| Nintendo Switch | More than 40 previously released DLC items included | Included with this version; no PS4 bundle claim needed |
| Steam | More than 40 previously released DLC items included | Included with this version; no PS4 bundle claim needed |
| Xbox / Windows | More than 40 previously released DLC items included | The Xbox/Windows product and your library |
The included selection covers costumes, Personas, music and other extras. The publisher’s “more than 40” count describes items, not 40 story expansions or a promise of every promotional reward.
A PS5 console can run either PlayStation version. Check the installed game’s PS4/PS5 label before looking for a missing bundle; the hardware alone does not tell you which package you own.

Legacy DLC Bundle versus Royal DLC Bundle
The PS4 bundles answer different questions: the Legacy bundle covers extras originating in Persona 5, while the Royal bundle groups Royal’s own additional packs.
| Bundle | Contents | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Persona 5 Royal Legacy DLC Bundle | Additional content from the original Persona 5, for use in Royal | Not a Royal base-game upgrade |
| Persona 5 Royal DLC Bundle | Kasumi Costume, Battle and Persona bundles, plus six individual DLC sets | Not the same catalog as the Legacy bundle |
The US Legacy Bundle listing and US Royal DLC Bundle listing both showed Free when checked on September 9, 2026. Check the listing for your account region before paying for an individual set or buying another game edition just to obtain these extras.
SEGA’s PS4 compatibility guidance explains a further distinction: add-ons bought for the original Persona 5 do not install directly into Royal. Royal’s Legacy bundle supplies the corresponding older content without requiring those earlier purchases.
Which older Personas does Legacy cover?
The original Persona 5 Persona Bundle contained nine paired sets: Ariadne, Asterius, Izanagi, Kaguya, Magatsu Izanagi, Messiah, Orpheus, Thanatos and Tsukiyomi, each with its Picaro variant. These are examples of the older add-ons supplied through Royal’s Legacy bundle under SEGA’s compatibility guidance—not the separate Royal Persona Bundle listed below.
For a specific summon, distinguish Izanagi in the older group from Izanagi-no-okami in Royal’s pack. The nine pairs above are only the Persona portion of Legacy, not its costume inventory.
How to find and use your Royal DLC
First separate a missing purchase from an in-game item you have not collected. On PS4, claim the matching bundle and check the game’s installed add-ons. Close and relaunch Royal after adding content. The later releases listed above already bundle their DLC selection; they do not require a PS4 store claim.
Costumes and bonus items
Check the cardboard box in Joker’s attic room at Leblanc once the opening story allows you to interact with it. Read the received-item notices, then look in your inventory and equipment options. A new costume does not change a character’s outfit automatically. Inverse’s PS4 Legacy walkthrough documents this collection point; its purchase instructions are not a separate claim requirement on every later platform.
DLC Personas
Look in the Velvet Room’s Persona Compendium once that feature is available, rather than searching the costume inventory. Match the full Persona name to the pack below. Having a Persona available and summoning it into your stock are different steps. You can leave powerful bonus Personas unused if you would rather build your team from the story’s encounters.
PS4 save says an add-on is missing?
Keep your save and check the account that owns the DLC before starting over. ATLUS’s PS4 launch FAQ warns that a save using add-ons can become inaccessible when their licenses are unavailable—for example, after moving to another PS4 without those add-ons or changing the primary console. Restore the matching content and access on the intended account; do not delete the save as a first troubleshooting step.
The box, Compendium and installed add-ons solve different problems. If only one item is missing, identify its exact pack and required game progress before paying for another bundle.
What are the main Persona 5 Royal DLC bundles and sets?
The PS4 catalog provides useful names for identifying the content. The larger Royal DLC Bundle contains three named bundles; the list below shows what those groups cover without counting the parent bundle and its contents twice.
Royal Persona Bundle
The Persona Bundle contains four sets:
- Izanagi-no-okami and Izanagi-no-okami Picaro
- Female Orpheus and Orpheus Picaro
- Athena and Athena Picaro
- Raoul
These are Persona additions, not separate campaigns. Use the full set names when matching a missing Persona to a store listing; “Orpheus” or “Izanagi” alone can refer to more than one version.
Royal Battle Bundle
The Battle Bundle combines seven sets:
- Challenge Remarkable Guest FULL MOON Set
- Challenge Remarkable Guest FOGGY DAY Set
- Battle Assist Pack
- Exploration Assist Pack
- Challenge Battle Extra Set
- Healing Item Set
- Skill Card Set
Kasumi costumes and other costume/music sets
The Kasumi Costume Bundle contains four cosmetic sets for Kasumi. The PS4 catalog also lists these individual Royal sets:
- P5D Costume & BGM Set
- P5D Featherman Costume & BGM Set
- Persona Q2 Costume & BGM Special Set
- SMT: Strange Journey Redux Costume & BGM Set
- Tracksuit Costume Set
- Velvet Room Costume & BGM Set
P5D, Persona Q2 and Strange Journey are themes for costumes and music used inside Royal. These sets do not include those separate games.
Other Persona 5 Royal DLC questions
Is Royal itself a DLC upgrade for Persona 5?
No. Royal is a separate game release. The Legacy bundle provides add-on content for Royal; it does not supply Royal’s base game or convert the original Persona 5 into it.
Do Switch or Steam players need to claim the PS4 bundles?
No. Their Royal releases include the publisher’s stated selection of more than 40 DLC items. The PS4 bundle pages describe PlayStation products, not an additional claim step for the Switch or Steam versions.
For the difference between Royal, Strikers and Tactica, see the Persona game order and edition guide. Their DLC belongs to separate games.
