NieR:Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition: PS4 and Steam Contents
Compare NieR:Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition on PS4 and Steam, including arena DLC, platform bonuses, PS5 compatibility and used-copy checks.
NieR:Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition includes the full game, its arena DLC and platform-specific bonuses. PS4 and Steam have different bonus lists: check the comparison table before buying. This is not the Nintendo Switch edition called The End of YoRHa.

Which purchase makes sense for you?
- New to Automata: Game of the YoRHa is a straightforward way to get the game and arena DLC together on PS4 or Steam. Compare its current price with the base game plus DLC, then decide whether the listed bonuses matter to you.
- Already own the game: if you want the arenas, compare the matching DLC price before paying for another full-game bundle. If you already own that DLC too, the remaining differences are extras, not a new main campaign.
- Considering a used PS4 disc: verify how that exact package supplies its extras. If they use a voucher, confirm it is present, unused, region-compatible and valid under its stated terms; the box’s edition name alone is not enough.
Game of the YoRHa Edition versus the original game
This is the same main Automata game, bundled with DLC and bonuses—not a new campaign or a sequel. The PS4 edition launched on February 26, 2019. Steam still shows the original game’s 2017 app release date; check the purchase option’s edition name and contents instead of rejecting it because those dates differ.
| Purchase type | What it represents | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Original base game | Automata itself | Whether the arena DLC is already owned separately |
| Game of the YoRHa Edition | Game, arena DLC and listed bonuses | The PS4 or Steam contents, not a mixed list |
| 3C3C1D119440927 alone | An add-on | A matching base-game license is required |
The add-on-only listing requires the matching base game. A new edition purchase is not needed just because an included arena reward is still locked by game progress.
PS4 versus Steam: the bonus differences
The following comparison uses the US PlayStation edition listing and the Steam edition contents, checked September 21, 2026. “Not listed” means the bonus is not promised by that edition’s contents list.
| Bonus | PS4 | Steam |
|---|---|---|
| Cardboard, Retro Grey and Retro Red Pod skins | Included | Included |
| Grimoire Weiss Pod and Machine Mask accessory | Included | Included |
| Play System Pod Skin | Included | Not listed |
| amazarashi Head Pod Skin | Included | Not listed |
| PS4 dynamic theme and set of PS4 avatars | Included | Not listed |
| Valve Character Accessory | Not listed | Included |
| Exclusive PC wallpaper set | Not listed | Included |
Valve accessory: Steam. Dynamic theme: PS4. A retailer description combining both sets does not establish that either individual version includes them all.

What both PS4 and Steam include
The main purchase is the same on both platforms: Automata plus the 3C3C1D119440927 arena DLC. The cosmetic differences in the table do not change which main story you are buying.
The arena DLC adds three colosseum challenge areas and Replicant-inspired costume rewards: Revealing Outfit for 2B, Young Man’s Outfit for 9S and Destroyer Outfit for A2. These challenge rewards are different from the edition’s bonus Pod skins and accessory.
Square Enix’s arena DLC description says story progress is required and that some story sections restrict access. Included content need not be accessible immediately on a new save. A locked challenge area is not, by itself, evidence that the edition was delivered without its DLC.
Can you play the PS4 edition on PS5?
The US PlayStation listing says the game is playable on PS5, with current system software potentially required. It also warns that some features available on PS4 may be absent on PS5.
This is backward compatibility for the PS4 game, not a native PS5 release. The listed PS4 theme is not a PS5 theme, and backward compatibility alone does not promise upgraded resolution or frame rate.
To play a physical PS4 copy, your PS5 also needs a compatible disc drive.
What to check if you already own Automata
A missing outfit does not always mean you bought the wrong edition. Work through these three possibilities before spending again:
- Not owned: check your purchase contents for the relevant DLC or bonus. The PS4/Steam table above identifies which version promises each extra.
- Owned but not installed: check the add-on’s download status on the platform where you own the game. A license on another platform does not supply this copy’s extras.
- Installed but not earned: the Revealing, Young Man’s and Destroyer outfits are arena challenge rewards. Story progress and completing the challenges still matter after installing the DLC.
On Steam, avoid confusing the edition’s specific contents with the separate “Content For This Game” section. That section also offers music products. Their presence beside Automata does not mean a Game of the YoRHa purchase contains each soundtrack album.
How it differs from The End of YoRHa Edition
The End of YoRHa Edition is the Nintendo Switch release, not a later story chapter. It includes the arena DLC and has a separate free Switch cosmetic pack. Its extras should not be used to fill gaps in the PS4 or Steam bonus list.
If you are shopping on Nintendo hardware, The End of YoRHa Edition contents guide explains that pack and the current Switch 2 compatibility distinction. If you are browsing Xbox or the Windows store, the name you may encounter is Become as Gods Edition, another platform-specific package rather than the Steam bundle described here.
